Lung Cancer fundraiser in support of Sunnybrook

When Bev Moir was blindsided by a lung cancer diagnosis five years ago, she decided to mobilize and raise funds for Sunnybrook.
Says Bev, “My treatment and care at Sunnybrook Hospital has been tremendous and I want to help them continue their groundbreaking work.”
Bev and her team of volunteers have raised $490,000 over the past three years and intend to hit the $650,000 mark in 2024.
This year, we’re teaming up with Copper Creek, one of Canada’s top tracks, to host a golf event. We also run an On-line Auction to raise money. It’s been a popular addition to the fundraising effort and we want to make it even bigger and better in 2024.
Can you donate an item, service or gift certificate to our On-line Auction? And, of course, 100% of the money raised goes directly to Sunnybrook.

What type of items are you looking for?
Simply put, anything of monetary value.It could be an item, a personal service, a gift card, an experience. We’ve had great success with sports equipment, ski passes, weekend retreats, dinners for two, hockey tickets, and bridge lessons. If unsure, run the idea by us.
How do you publicize it?
We’ve use an on-line service that allows us to upload an image and blurb on your donation. We target everyone in our database and use social media. The auction item has a minimum bid and automatically alerts people when someone else bids.
When does the auction start and stop?
The auction goes live on July 15, 2024. It will remain open till 8 pm on July 31, 2024. Winners are contacted immediately via email. When the auction closes, the winners are contacted by Sunnybrook and can pay via credit card or cheque. We personally deliver the item to the winner.
What’s my next step?
Contact us and we’ll arrange pick up. We’ll ask you for your logo and get an image of the item, if applicable. We’ll do the rest. It’s really that easy.
