On July 10, 2023, we did something amazing. Together we “Crushed the Granite” but more importantly, our fundraising tally for 2023 hit $138,000. Sunnybrook Lung Cancer will receive a big cheque, and you played a part. I thank you.
It was a great day of golf and fundraising. We had an exceptional day, from having long drive champion Kelly Rudney crush your tee shot to testing your putting skills or relaxing on the patio. The impressive Sunnybrook duo of Dr. David Hwang and Dr. Alexander Louie enlightened us. All appreciated their insights. Lung cancer diagnostics require significant dollars, and efforts such as ours play a pivotal role.
Our donations included personal and corporate sponsorships, the popular online auction (raising $12,900), and our golf day at the Granite. You will receive a partial tax receipt directly from the Sunnybrook Foundation regarding your registration fees. We were sold out at 28 teams, and feedback on the course and event has been gratifying. It is our intention to return to Granite Golf in 2024.
‘Crush it with Bev’ is gaining momentum. Over the past three years, we’ve raised close to $500,000. I have been privileged to spearhead this campaign with my husband, Ron Foreman, and committee members Patty Parker, Claudia Egger and Patti Ristich.
